January 27th Newsletter: The Unsaid Part About Putting Your Ideas Out There
I have a confession.
At the beginning of 2025, I set a goal to produce one blog and one video or podcast each month for Grace of Belle. By 2026, I completed only a portion of that goal.
That can be discouraging, and yet, I'm choosing grace. Because there is so much we do not know, and cannot fully understand about any journey until we begin. Sometimes simply putting one foot in front of the other toward the goal is the win.
While I believe systems are powerful and beneficial for everyone, I also believe in alignment. I believe in honouring priorities. I am a mother and a wife first. There is no team behind this platform. Just me, working in nap breaks and small preschool windows, once the daily work of home and life is satisfied, and provided Canada decides to lay off the snow long enough for us all to catch up. Toronto has been keeping things fun 🙃
Could I manage my timeline a little better? Absolutely.
But this has been a learning act.
And there's something else I've learned about myself along this journey of pouring myself into this space, which has become truly special to me:
I do not take the act of putting my thoughts into the world lightly.
We often focus on the technical labour of creating. Filming, editing, writing, publishing. But we speak less about the mental and spiritual weight of sharing ideas, faith, and guidance publicly.
I have learned that it truly does not matter whether your platform reaches ten people or ten thousand. There is an accountability that comes with choosing to put your thoughts into the world, and even more so when faith and scripture are layered on top of that.
I do not think I fully prepared for how much that inner responsibility would shape my pace in this work. There were drafts written, refined, spoken out loud, and written again, simply because I needed to sit with them before handing them to you.
I will not always get it right. Some may say I overthink it. But I want to at least be at peace with that accountability.
Called to Create Part Two
My latest blog and video are now complete, and I am looking forward to sharing them with you very soon.
The topic is choosing alignment in God over approval and algorithms when it comes to creating. It is a part two of You Were Called to Create, which you can catch up on here if you missed it.
No matter what season you are in, and we are all creators in some way, I hope grace is at the forefront.
If you missed goals you set for yourself, or feel discouraged about where you are, perhaps you are exactly where you need to be. Maybe you are nourishing something more important than ambition right now. Alignment.
And if you are learning as you go, one foot in front of the other, nothing is truly lost.
I will see you soon for the release of my newest blog and podcast episode, Choosing Alignment in God over Approval and Algorithms.
Wishing you a beautiful week ahead. If you are in Toronto, or anywhere close to where I am, stay warm ☕️
With love,
Natalie
